Charo: Emo Filipino

While it is technically more accurate to say “Filipina”, Filipino rhymes better with “emo” and is still widely used referring to either sex. Why the “emo” thing though? Well, Charo here just has that “emo” look to her. The short, choppy hair, the large, colorful tattoos and the sparkly nose piercing; those all give her that “emo” style which is unusual for Filipinas.

We picked up Charo in classic Trike Patrol form, just walking along side of the road on a super hot afternoon the other day. After the short trike ride back to the hotel, Charo cooled down inside while warming up to us at the same time.
